Owner and president, Nikki Schmidt, has spent her entire career in the design industry. A Brentwood, Tennessee native and University of the South Sewanee graduate, she joined the OCS team in 2012 with Ernie Reynolds as her mentor. She quickly grew into the role of general manager and later purchased OCS, proudly continuing its legacy as a woman-owned and managed general contracting firm.
Nikki’s specialties in hardscape design and project management reflect her interior design experience with an exclusive tile and stone company, allowing her to create exterior living spaces that mirror her clients’ interior design elements. OCS works closely with and is trusted by numerous landscape architects across the Middle Tennessee market to deliver exceptional results.
Her personal time is spent creating wonderful memories with her husband, energetic daughters, and extended family.

Duration schedule is dependent on the scale of each project. Some projects may take 8 weeks while others may take 36 weeks. There are many factors to consider such as weather, material availability, site access, etc.
We are a TN licensed General Contractor specializing in exterior amenities. For smaller projects, we are happy to provide design services. For larger master plan projects, we prefer to design/build with a landscape architect. We are team-oriented to provide the best project experience for our clients.
